Prof. Ke Wang

Prof. Ke Wang obtained his Ph.D in Microelectronics and Solid State Electronics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. His research expertise lies in the area of magnetic/optical/electronic films and nanostructured devices, particularly for information storage. He had been working in the UK for several years. Before that, he received Alexander von Humboldt (AvH) research award to carry out his work in RWTH-Aachen, Germany. Currently he is holding a ‘Minjiang Scholar’ Distinguished Professorship at Huaqiao University, Xiamen. Prof. Wang has served as editorial board member for several scientific journals. He has published more than 70 peer reviewed papers and holds 6 patents.

Prof. Richard John Haynes

Professor Haynes works in the areas of environmental engineering/environmental science. His present research centres on revegetation technologies for bauxite residue tailings, rehabilitation and use of land disposed dredged sediments and use of constructed wetlands to remove heavy metals/metalloids from waqstewater streams. His general research interests are in remediation of waste waters and soils contaminated with heavy metals/metalloids, revegetation of waste spoils/mined land, production of manufactured soils using waste materials, the use and recycling of industrial, agricultural and municipal wastes and minimising their effects on the environment as well as the role of silicon in agriculture.
